I offer a full range of services for the servicing, modification and repair of both standard original and modified Montecarlos. Your car will be looked after by someone who is an owner, Consortium member and genuine enthusiast of the Marque. I am not generally set up to take on a full body restoration of your Montecarlo, but I am always happy to discuss your requirements with you. I have listed for you below a selection of the sort of work I can undertake for you, but if what you are looking for is not listed, please feel free to call and discuss your requirements. If you would like to change or uprate the exhaust on car for example and have no idea how to go about it, give me a call. I have a very competitive labour charge and most jobs can be arranged on a fixed price basis. As a loyal and small business, working on my own, my charges are not yet subject to VAT.
Arrangements can be made to transport your car if it is to come from further afield. Please call to discuss your car's requirements, but as a rule of thumb work on the basis of £1.00 per mile for the journey with a minimum charge of £50.00

General Servicing & Recommissioning
Has your pride and joy been laid up over the winter period or for longer? I can recommission and service your car depending on your needs, from a general service and check, to renewal of brake linings, fuel lines, all fluids, electrical checks, belt changes. I can also arrange to have your car MOT'd locally before it is returned to you. I will always check and advise of any unexpected issues or problems before continuing work, so good methods of communication will be needed to smooth the process. Ideally, your Monte will be delivered to me/available for inspection the previous evening so I can inspect it and provide an interim report.
Fixed Cost Examples
Brake System Refresh - change of fluid, pads check, brake lines check, caliper and slider maintenance - £90.00 plus any parts required
Engine Service - oil and filter change, and renewal of fan belt. Air filter check and change (as required), change of plugs, points/ignition (as required). - £150.00 plus fluids & parts as required
Cam belt change - £90.00 plus parts.
Coolant Flush & Renewal - £70.00 plus fluids - Drain system, descale and flush through before filling with new coolant to the correct ratio.
Replacement of coolant hoses - these do perish and replacements can be bought - fitment of all pipework can be undertaken at the same time as a coolant flush & renewal. Please be aware that hose clips may have to replaced at the same time.
Replacement of fuel hoses - £40
Overhaul/servicing of windows - from £50.00 plus parts - Are your windows slow or sticking? You can overhaul the motor, the bearings, the worm drive and channels, as well as adding a relay kit to ensure that full power gets to the motor in the first place.
Gear linkage bushes - £50 plus parts - Has your car been stood for a while or does it still have 30 year old bushes in the gear selector rods? If so, I strongly advise you to renew them before they completely fail!
Hanging sports/standard exhaust - From £50.00 - Notice use of the word 'hanging' rather than 'fitting' - if you fit an exhaust it won't flex and will therefore crack. This can be a straightforward job or a complete nightmare! There is a great potential for stripped threads and snapped studs but you should also consider renewing the rubber mounts if they are perished and ensuring the shields are complete and in place.
Repairs
Broken something? From brake master cylinder to cam belt, bearings to bushes - I can help. I can either supply these parts for you, or you can approach your favourite vendors directly. They can come with the car or be delivered to me directly, ready for fitting. Labour charge for general work is £35.00 per hour.
Modification/Overhaul

Modification/Overhaul
- Need to overhaul your brakes - renew or upgrade? I can overhaul the hydraulic system, from pedal box to pads. Need to replace a brake line or upgrade to braided hoses - I can do that too.
- While you're having the cam belt changed, why not renew the gaskets around the auxiliary shaft and crankshaft at the same time? Why not fit a modified auxiliary shaft with the lobe removed to avoid the issue of collision with con-rod number 2?
